happy 50

According to my friend Tina, who I consider an expert on all things blog, "milestone" posts (like 50) require something special.  So, to celebrate my 50th post, I've compiled this list of 50 things I'd like to do or accomplish over the next 50 years.  Some serious, some silly...in no particular order, they are:

Travel to Europe, especially Italy, Germany, and Spain.

Travel to Hawaii.

Take an Alaskan cruise.

Travel to Greece with my Bunco girls.

Take my sons to Disney World.

Participate in The Amazing Race.

Write a book (and hopefully get it published).

Complete another half marathon.

Design and build a custom home for my family.

Volunteer for a meaningful charity organization.

Join (or start) a book club.

Join (or start) a monthly game night or supper club with friends.

Learn to cook at least a few things (besides cookies!) well.

Attend an NCAA Football National Championship game...hopefully when Texas is competing for another championship!

Attend a Super Bowl game.

Vacation at the Hotel del Coronado.

Own a home with a view of a beautiful coastline.

Win a large sum of money.

Leave the legal profession.

Become a labor and delivery nurse...

or...become a television sports reporter/correspondent.

Retire early.

Become a better photographer.

Learn to play golf.

Learn to speak Spanish.

Have a romantic vacation in one of the nicest suites at La Casa Que Canta resort in Mexico.

"Flip" a house.

Get laser hair removal.

Get my nose pierced.

Fly on a private jet.

Have some role in opening and running a restaurant.

Play a part in a movie, however minor (even as an extra will do).

Play on an organized football team.

Attend both of my sons' high school graduations.

Pay for both of my sons to go to college.

Attend both of my sons' college graduations.

Attend both of my sons' weddings (should they choose to marry).

Become a grandmother.

Celebrate 50 years with my Bunco group in October, 2050.

Celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary on May 4, 2052.

Celebrate Gage's 50th birthday on January 27, 2055.

Celebrate my 85th birthday on January 12, 2056.

Celebrate Beck's 50th birthday on November 11, 2057.

Celebrate Scott's 85th birthday on December 29, 2057.

Stay healthy.

Be the best friend I can be.

Be the best daughter I can be.

Be the best wife I can be.

Be the best parent I can be.

Be the best person I can be.
