If I'd had a daughter...
I would have named her Erin Eleanor.
Erin just because I like it, Eleanor because of this beautiful song that I love...
"Plucked from the sky like diamonds...plucked from the sky like spring's new leaf...whether it's God's will or my wish, it happened, thank God...you were plucked from the sky like dragonflies...you're almost an angel, Eleanor..."
I would have decorated her room with this bedding set.
Cute, but not too girly.
I would have had to overcome my aversion to pink.
Or maybe I would have grown to love it?
I wouldn't have been the only girl in my house.
I would have been able to play Barbies.
I hope I would have taught her to respect herself, and others, and to not be afraid.
The same lessons I hope to teach my sons.

And my daughter would have probably been her best friend and her name would have been Foster Alisabeth. Wouldn't they have had so much fun? I guess it will just have to be our sons and daughters-in-law that make the world a brighter place!!
