The Soccer Snakes, that is...our team for this season! With a group of six 4 year olds, most of whom had never played before, and exactly one practice under our belts, we took to the field for our first game this weekend. There were smiles, there were tears, there were several goals (mostly scored by our opponents), and there were a few complete meltdowns (luckily Gage wasn't one of them!), but overall I guess it was a pretty successful first game. Gage was so excited to play, and so was his cheering section (including Mom, Dad, Nana, Grammy, and Gramps), but by the second half he was utterly exhausted! Here are some of the highlights:
