It has begun! This week we began our first venture into organized recreational sports...Gage is playing soccer! I am really excited...I never played sports as a kid and I've often regretted it. But to be honest, we've also been a little nervous...Gage has inherited his mom's penchant for perfectionism, and if he can't master something quickly he tends to want to give up. But we thought it was important to expose him to a team sport and just hope for the best.

I am happy to report that (at least so far) I think we made the right decision. Ever since our trip to purchase all his gear last week, he has been bouncing-off-the-walls excited about playing. And the first practice was great...he seemed to have a wonderful time and did really well.
Of course Beck enjoyed watching his big brother and tried to get in on the action, too.

The first game is this Saturday, and Gage is so excited...especially since he gets to wear his "costume" (also known as a uniform!) Just wait until he finds out about the halftime and post-game snacks!
