Yesterday I got to introduce Gage to one of my favorite pass times....a movie at the Alamo Drafthouse!
Not only was it his first trip to the Alamo, it was the first time we had even attempted the movie theater since the very first time, just over a year ago (you may remember
this). And I'm pleased to report that he did great...stayed in his seat (mostly), stayed quiet (nearly), and managed to stay for the entire movie! I think the pizza helped...he got to stand up and eat for about half the movie...and when he started getting restless after that I bribed him with some chocolate. And luckily I remembered to bring along a jacket so that when he complained about being cold he couldn't use that as an excuse to leave.
The movie we saw was UP! I think a lot of it went right over his head (but not mine...I teared up more than once!) but he still seemed to enjoy it, especially the balloons and the talking dogs. And he was really excited by the big bunch of balloons waiting outside the theater when we left.
In the end, it was expensive, fattening, and not very relaxing...and it was wonderful.

What a fun day--and a movie I would love to see, but haven't yet. Great pics!
