chap happy

"Hi, my name is Rachael, and my three year old son is addicted to Chap Stick."  These are the words I imagine myself saying when we have to start attending weekly meetings of Chap Stick Addicts Anonymous (CSAA).  I'm sure we will have to follow some sort of twelve step program...first, admit you are powerless over your addiction to Chap Stick, second, accept that your lips may sometimes have to be dry and cracked, third, apologize to everyone whose Chap Stick you have stolen, broken, or contaminated with toddler germs...

Seriously, though, is my child the only one who wants to apply Chap Stick approximately one million times per day??  And not just to his lips...everything from his nose to his chin gets a thick coat of the stuff, leaving a dull sheen over the entire bottom half of his face.  I literally have to hide it to keep him from using it...these are just some of the tubes I've confiscated.

But I guess in the grand scheme of things, there are worse things he could be addicted to, and I've never heard of anyone overdosing on Chap Stick.  And his lips are really soft.
