Beck started off the new year with a trip to Stride Rite and his first pair of real shoes. I knew he had wide feet, but I couldn't believe it when he measured as an "extra wide" and even then his feet were pressing out on the sides. I was even more surprised when I saw that they cost more than I typically spend on a pair of shoes for myself!
He didn't even want to stand up in them at the store, but after some practice this morning he seems to be getting the hang of walking in them.
Another step on the road from babyhood to boyhood. Walk safely, my son.

Absolutely precious (not the pricetag on those shoes)! When I read the title I was hoping there would be a video!
