bunco girl

Growing up, I was never one of those girls that had a big group of girlfriends.  For whatever reason, I always seemed to have one really close friend, but not many others.  And, while there were different "one close friends" over the years, the pattern held true well into my adulthood.

But eight years ago, I became, to my surprise and delight, one of those girls surrounded by a big group of girlfriends.  I became a Bunco Girl.

Honestly, there are no words adequate to describe the amazing group of women who have become my friends and my sisters.  With those few I knew before Bunco, the past eight years have strengthened and deepened our friendships; those who were strangers are now part of the family.

Tina...our founder, our heart...generous, gregarious, hilarious

Norah...our Nonnie...surrogate mother to us all

Shauna...my closest friend and ally...outgoing and strong, she's taught me so much

Missy...our music lover...quirky and fun loving

Christa...our role model...sensitive and authentic

Stephanie...our sophisticate...softspoken and sweet

Valerie...our Sooner...passionate and dedicated

Sonia...our cheerleader...forthright and loyal

Karen...our trendsetter...vivacious and lovely

Kaley...our out of towner...genuine and goofy when she wants to be

What an incredible blessing it is to be one of this group of girlfriends.
I am so lucky.  I am a Bunco Girl.
