longhorn ladies

This past Thursday, I attended the Mack Brown Women's Clinic for the first time.  Frankly, I was expecting a "football made simple" type instructional clinic for women who knew nothing about football, which is probably why I was never that interested in attending before.  But I've heard so many women rave about the Clinic in years past, and I had a Darrell Royal autographed football that I thought would look even better with Mack's autograph, too (thanks, Holly and Don!), so when Shauna invited me to join her this year I decided to go.

And what a pleasant surprise!  This was no Football 101...this was a room full of ladies with graduate degrees in Longhorn Football!  The entire coaching staff and a couple of players made an appearance, several assistant coaches gave short talks and took questions, and Mack and Sally Brown signed autographs, smiled for photos, answered our questions, and gave us a rare insight into the football program.

We came early.
We were loud.
We stayed late.
We wore orange (necklaces).

And I was reminded that I'm not the only girl who loves football.

I think the girlie part of hanging with you and Shauna and Missy would be the ONLY part of football I would like! Glad you got to go!
