This past weekend we wanted to take Gage to do something special, and we decided to head down to the Natural Bridge Caverns near New Braunfels. Apparently, we weren't the only ones who thought the seventy degree caverns would provide a little relief from the summer heat. But despite the long line for tickets and the even longer wait for our cavern tour, Gage was really excited and well behaved.

When we finally got underground, Gage absolutely loved the nearly one mile cavern tour, as did Scott and I...our first time there as well. And apparently he was really paying attention to our tour guide...on the way home, he was on the phone telling my mom all about it, including some of the more obscure facts we learned along the way. He even remembered that the deepest cavern was one hundred eighty feet below the "natural bridge."

It was a tiring but very enjoyable afternoon, and now that we know there is a drive-through animal safari park next door, I imagine we'll be heading back down to New Braunfels sometime soon.
